Along with physician provider coverage, PremiER’s utilizes an experienced medical director for management of day-to-day operations of scheduling, protocol development, and reviewing medical records. PremiER can implement other healthcare professionals into the emergency department to fit individual needs of each hospital.
The medical director works closely with each physician to provide the highest level of care to every patient. As a physician group, PremiER works as a team to provide optimum care. With PremiER management, efficiency is achieved by working with the entire ER team. Working with clerks, triage, nurses, and other ER team members, PremiER can optimize the entire emergency department for fast, efficient, and seamless patient care.

Through up-to-date practices we strive to improve patient care and experience as well as improve metrics that are important to being sustainable in today’s healthcare environment. Areas of focused improvement include reduced length of stay, decrease readmission rates, and efficient utilization of laboratory and radiographic studies.
One of the biggest advantages to the hospital, as a whole, that we have witnessed is when the hospitalist group is an allie of the ED. Through this “same team” approach we have been able to increase admission rates and reduce unnecessary transfers from rural hospitals. This is important not only in increasing the census and thus utilization of your facility but is also more convenient for patients and their families. Our Internal Medicine directors have monthly meetings with the Emergency Department Director to review transfers and discuss the appropriateness of transfers to ensure that unnecessary transfer trends are found and eliminated.
